Everything just clicked for this session on September 6th! The light, the location, and this beautiful family. I’ve had the joy of photographing this crew since 2018, and every year I look forward to our time together. Watching their girls grow has been such a gift through my lens.

This year, we explored a new location, and it turned out to be absolutely perfect. The family told me it was their “easiest session yet", which, with three kids (including a lively 2-year-old!), is saying a lot! Their two oldest girls, now in 5th and 3rd grade, were such pros in front of the camera, and their baby sister kept us all smiling with her sweet personality.

Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do, not just capturing smiles, but documenting the story of a family as it grows and changes year after year.

Below are one family photo from each year! It was such a joy to pull them all together and see not only how much the kids have grown, but also how my work has evolved over time. My heart was warmed noticing some of the little echoes from year to year—cheek kisses, over-the-shoulder looks, piggyback rides, and laughter. Without even realizing it, we’ve been building a beautiful thread of moments that tie their story together.
