This morning, during a walk with our dog Lucky, I felt something I didn’t even realize I’d been missing: a deep, grounding breath. The kind of pause that slows everything down and makes you see the world again. The blue sky, the birdsong, the gentle rhythm of walking without a rush.
As we made our way down the block where we’re temporarily staying—after being displaced by a neighbor’s house fire—I crossed paths with a woman stepping out of her home. She admired Lucky, and we shared a sweet moment reminiscing about dogs she once had and memories from another season of life for her.
As she turned to leave, she looked at Lucky and said, “Take care of your owner,” then turned to me and added, “Thank you for the pause.” She smiled, “No pun intended,” and softly said, “God bless you.”
That simple sentence stuck with me. It felt like a divine message, right when I needed it most.
Lately, life has felt like a crossroads. After a recent shift from working full-time at my corporate job and navigating the aftermath of the fire, I’ve been reflecting deeply on what’s next. And I keep coming back to this: I want to slow down, be present with my kids, reclaim our home, and return to creating from a place of heart.
As a family photographer, I’ve always believed in the beauty of everyday moments—the magical, ordinary ones that make up real life. And now more than ever, I want to document those kinds of moments for families like yours. The kind that pause time, even just for a second, and remind us what truly matters.
This spring, I’m opening up limited sessions for outdoor family photography. If you’re craving images that feel real—filled with sunshine, laughter, connection, and love —I’d be honored to help tell your story.
Because sometimes the greatest gift we can give ourselves is a moment to slow down.
To be still.
To make a wish.
And to begin again.
Let’s create something beautiful—together.
Interested in booking a session with me? I'd love to hear what kind of story you want to capture.
